For the “Dance” section of the Veronese summer theater, the Momix, the theater company of dancer-acrobats, created and directed by the American Moses Pendleton, charismatic artistic director and creator of countless successful shows, returns to the stage of the Roman Theater.
Known worldwide for its exceptionally inventive and beautiful performances, the fame of Momix is linked to the ability to evoke a world of surreal images by making human bodies, costumes, props, and light effects interact.
"With Botanica - Season 2 we have returned to our original garden and let new ideas take root", says Artistic Director Moses Pendleton.
The stage transforms into a living terrarium; the dancers become wasps light as hummingbirds, bright marigolds, trunks, and tree architectures, making visible the very energy that flows through the natural world.
On this occasion, the American company of dancer-acrobats once again blends athletic dance, visual illusion, and natural imagery in a scenic journey of extraordinary poetic strength: the show evokes the transformation and vitality of plants, celebrating the cycle of life in a poetic and surreal dance.
Nature takes shape through the human body, giving the audience a true multisensory experience.
