Returns the 15th edition of the Pentecost Bells: a widespread concert, coming from the city bell towers, to rediscover and appreciate the historical, artistic, and musical value of Verona.
This edition of "Pentecost Bells" aims to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the first bell ringer school of the "Veronese" sound tradition, established in 1776 in the bell tower of San Giorgio in Braida.
Starting at 6:00 p.m., it will be possible to appreciate the different harmonies of the bells of the Torre dei Lamberti and the churches of Sant'Anastasia, San Giorgio in Braida, San Nazaro e Celso, Sant'Eufemia, San Tomaso Cantuariense, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta.
The event will conclude around 8:00 p.m. with the last concert scheduled at the Cathedral “Santa Maria Assunta,” where the largest bell (weighing 4566 kg) in the world is located, capable of performing a complete 360° rotation, as provided by the “Veronese” sound system.
Once at the concert location, thanks to the QR code present on the poster, it will be possible to discover details and curiosities about the bells and the sounding bell tower.
