The Veronese Theatre Summer returns to fill the Roman Theatre with great Italian and international music.
As part of the "musical contaminations" series, on September 13th it will be the turn of the Astor Piazzolla Quintet, which for over 25 years has preserved and honored the legacy of the revolutionary Argentine bandoneon player and composer.
The concert of the Astor Piazzolla Quintet is the opportunity to listen, all in one evening, to the hits of a brilliant composer, the most famous pieces of Nuevo Tango, performed by five exceptional musicians.
The Quintet consists of virtuoso soloists with internationally renowned careers, all deeply connected to Piazzolla's aesthetics and artistically trained under his direct influence: Pablo Mainetti (bandoneon), Matías Feigin (piano), Serdar Geldymuradov (violin), Armando de La Vega (guitar), and Cristian Basto (double bass).
Under the musical direction of Julián Vat, the QAP keeps alive the vast corpus of works by Piazzolla, preserving the essence of his transformation of tango into a unique art form.
To celebrate the work of this musical genius, the QAP offers a unique experience: a concert that combines and contrasts Piazzolla's academic works with his popular repertoire, highlighting different moments of creativity, intensity, and passion. It is music that connects the past and present, preserving the essence of one of the greatest musical geniuses of the 20th century.
