Based on the book of the same name by Italian actor Paolo Calabresi, the show retraces the incredible story of his transformations into real-life characters.
Many still vividly remember the time he impersonated Nicolas Cage and was received at the stadium with all honors by the president of AC Milan. And not only that. Calabresi has taken on the personas of John Turturro, Marilyn Manson, an African chief, a cardinal, and many others.
However, the reason that motivated him to carry out such transforming acts is not as well known. For him, it was not merely a pastime, but a necessity, a response to some traumatic events he experienced in a few short weeks. This "improper" use of his craft as an actor led him to steal the identities of real famous people without anyone knowing, and it also affected his private life, particularly his relationship with his wife (played by Carolina Di Domenico).
Calabresi tells his story through the identities he has assumed over the years, addressing complex themes with irony and humor.
