The Skenè Research Center of the University of Verona presents a new edition of the Verona Shakespeare Fringe (VSF): a festival aimed at offering Verona a week of performances, in the original language with subtitles in English and Italian, staged by companies from all over the world, to promote new perspectives on the plays and poetry of William Shakespeare.
The festival will take place at the SS. Trinità Theatre from July 16 to 25.
There will be nine performances presented by companies from Ukraine, United States, Poland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, Czech Republic, China, Germany, South Africa, and United Kingdom.
All in the original language, with subtitles in English and Italian, to immerse the audience in a completely international dimension through performances that range between live and multimedia.
Thanks to the nine selected international artistic proposals within the Verona Shakespeare Fringe, the Shakespearean imagination will find new approaches and original points of view, with the aim of overturning various commonplaces.
The Fringe Festival presents the ways through which Shakespeare continues to give voice to the collective imagination, starting from a plurality of angles, confirming its vitality and relevance, and once again counts on international partners this year.
