Yoko Yamada

After concluding the tour of the previous “Mary Poppins and the Gifts of Death” with over 60 dates in Italy, the Nippo-Brescia comedian Yoko Yamada returns to the stage with her first entirely theatrical tour titled “Little Sparkling Star”.

The show is a clear (but not too clear) reflection on the ethical dilemma between admiration for art and the questionable moral conduct of some great artists. There is one question in particular that keeps buzzing in her head, almost preventing her from sleeping: what to do in that case? How should one behave when behind your favorite artist, writer, singer, or actor lies a reprehensible person?

Yamada is able to tackle such an uncomfortable theme with skillful irony, unafraid to challenge those traditions considered untouchable and without giving up a humorous perspective on the absurdities of everyday life.
