Try Amarone in 2 wineries on this half-day tour (4 and a half hours)! We will depart from Verona at 2:00 p.m. and take you to Valpolicella to discover all the secrets of our traditional red wines. Traveling along the wine road, you will visit two different wineries. Here you will be able to taste at least 4 of the DOC and DOCG wines, such as Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone, and Recioto, with their different styles. During this tour, you will learn about Amarone and its winemaking process directly from the producers and discover the famous method of appassimento. For this tour, we always choose 2 very different wineries in style and size, so that you can compare them and appreciate the variety of productions that can be found in this territory. Accompanying you will always be the wonderful scenery of our hills and their vineyards, spectacular in every season of the year.
Some reviews:
Our tour was fabulous! We were two couples and two adult children, for a total of six people. Our guide, Roberto, was very engaging and knowledgeable about the history of the Valpolicella wine region and the wineries we would visit. We were staying in the center of Verona, so Pagus' office was easy to reach. The transportation provided by Pagus to the wineries was a great advantage. My husband and I are great Amarone enthusiasts and were a bit cautious about the two wineries we would visit, as they were not very well-known brands in the United States. Both wineries offered excellent tours and outstanding wines! One winery was medium-sized and the other smaller. We all bought some wine to ship home through Pagus. The group of eight people was the perfect size, and we met a charming English couple. I highly recommend this tour to both experienced wine lovers and those new to tastings!

My wife and I had a truly pleasant wine tour with Pagus. Our guide and driver was Roberto, and he was exceptional. It was just the two of us, and we found that the wineries we visited, one medium-sized and one small and recent, were perfectly balanced. In both, we had very close and engaging experiences. The wines were excellent and we bought bottles from both wineries. At the newer winery, we met the owner, an extraordinary host who shared his enthusiasm with us. If you love Amarone, take this tour! If you are not familiar with it but appreciate red wines, this is an experience you must have.

Our guide, Roberto from Pagus, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and conveyed great energy. The two wineries we visited were charming, and both offered a different perspective on local wines of their own production. The Amarone and Valpolicella wines were delicious — so much so that we ended up purchasing a couple of bottles from each winery! I would definitely recommend this experience to friends and family.
