Here you will be able to taste at least 4 of the DOC and DOCG wines, such as Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone, and Recioto, with their different styles. During this tour, you will learn about Amarone and its winemaking process directly from the producers and discover the famous appassimento method. For this tour we always choose 2 very different wineries in style and size so that you can compare them and appreciate the variety of productions found in this territory. You will always be accompanied by the wonderful scenery of our hills and their vineyards, spectacular in every season of the year.
Some reviews:
Our tour was fabulous! We were two couples and two adult children, for a total of six people. Our guide, Roberto, was very engaging and knowledgeable about the history of the Valpolicella wine region and the wineries we would visit. We were staying in the center of Verona, so the Pagus office was easy to reach. The transportation provided by Pagus to the wineries was a great advantage. My husband and I are great Amarone enthusiasts and were a bit cautious about the two wineries we would visit, as they were not very well-known brands in the United States. Both wineries offered excellent tours and outstanding wines! One winery was medium-sized, and the other was smaller. We all purchased wine to be shipped home via Pagus. The group of eight was the perfect size, and we got to know a nice English couple. I highly recommend this tour to both experienced wine lovers and those new to tastings!

My wife and I had an absolutely delightful wine tour with Pagus. Our guide and driver was Roberto, and he was exceptional. It was just the two of us and we found that the wineries visited, one medium-sized and one small and new, were perfectly balanced. In both, we had very close and engaging experiences. The wines were excellent and we purchased bottles at both wineries. At the newer winery, we met the owner, an extraordinary host who shared his enthusiasm with us. If you love Amarone, take this tour! If you don't know it but enjoy red wines, this is an experience you must have.

Our guide, Roberto, from Pagus, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and conveyed great energy. The two wineries we visited were charming, and both offered a different perspective on the local wines they produce. The Amarone and Valpolicella wines were delightful — so much so that we ended up purchasing a couple of bottles from each winery! I would definitely recommend this experience to friends and family.
