The 16-kilometer itinerary – developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona, the Ministry of Tourism, and Veronafiere as part of the “Smart Verona: UNESCO World Heritage City” project – and mapped out by APS equestre Horse Valley ASD, completes the existing Forts Equestrian Route.
It is designed to showcase the historical and natural beauty of Verona through slow tourism on horseback. The new equestrian trail touches the four circular towers located along the Santa Giuliana ridge and allows riders to explore a hilly landscape marked by narrow valleys, streams, terraced slopes with dry-stone walls, and historical and cultural landmarks dating back to the Scaliger era and the Austrian rule.
Program:
Meeting at the stables, horse assignment, a short handling test in the paddock and explanation of the itinerary, followed by the riding experience and return to the stables.
