A family, a house, a museum.
Rooms, furniture, furnishings, paintings, and objects still today tell the story of the Miniscalchi family, an ancient and noble lineage of Bergamasque origin that settled in Verona as early as the early 15th century.
The museum is set within the rooms of the historic noble residence — inhabited by the family until 1977 — and unfolds through sixteen rooms, each characterized by collections of various kinds: paintings, small Renaissance bronzes, archaeological artifacts, Russian icons, an ancient library, weapons and armor from the 15th and 16th centuries, sacred art and a private chapel, the reconstructed Wunderkammer of the Veronese scholar Ludovico Moscardo (17th century), as well as 18th-century Venetian furnishings, ivories, majolica, and porcelain.
During the guided tour, visitors will be accompanied on a journey through Palazzo Miniscalchi and its collections, discovering curiosities and family stories along the way.
