During this tour (full day, about 7 hours) departing from Verona at 9.00 a.m. you will visit 2 different wineries, where you will taste at least 4 DOC and DOCG wines from Valpolicella, such as Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone, and Recioto. You will be able to compare different styles and speak directly with the producers. Along the way, you will enjoy the fantastic scenery of our hills and their vineyards. The best way to conclude such a beautiful morning before returning to the city of Verona? Definitely, lunch in a wine bar or in a typical local Osteria, to savor our traditional cuisine in full Valpolicella atmosphere!
Some reviews:
We did a full-day wine tour in the Valpolicella region with Davide. Davide is an excellent guide who told us a lot about wine and the region itself. In addition, we visited two very nice wineries, where we were welcomed by two very friendly and enthusiastic hosts. To complete the day, we had an absolutely fantastic lunch. It was a splendid day and I would recommend everyone to do a wine tour in this area! Unfortunately, we didn't stay long enough in Verona to do another wine tour with Davide in another region.

The full-day “Amarone Country” tour was, hands down, the best wine tour I have ever attended. The meeting point is centrally located, so easy to find. Our tour with Anna started promptly at 9. During the drive to the first winery, Anna told us about the region and provided us with basic information about the different wines we would taste. One member of our group suffers from motion sickness, but Anna drove impeccably throughout the day with no problems. Our first stop was a beautiful and large traditional winery. We were able to walk around the property and received a very thorough explanation of the entire production process of Amarone, all set in a wonderful landscape. We tasted four products at the first winery and, in the end, we were also offered a tasting of two additional products. The second winery was not far away, and Anna explained that it was almost the opposite of the first. Upon arrival, I noticed it right away and was initially a bit skeptical, but it completely surprised me. Here the winery offered a brief introduction but focused mainly on the wines and their history. We tasted five wines and we were also offered a snack, which was unexpected. The wines were delicious. The drive to lunch passed through the countryside and the mountains (so for those used to the city, it might be a bit challenging, but it was extremely easy for Anna). The lunch was phenomenal, with breathtaking views that I will not easily forget. It was exactly what we were looking for. Anna was an exceptional guide: kind, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer all our questions (about wine, the area, and any other topic). I can only recommend this tour: it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
