A journey through the roots of wine at the Montresor Wine Museum, to learn about the history and identity of Valpolicella. The experience continues with "Valpolicella in a Glass," a tasting of our most iconic wines.
Begin your experience with a guided tour of the Montresor Wine Museum, located inside our historic winery just steps from the center of Verona. The museum, housed in over 500 square meters, renovated to celebrate our company's 130th anniversary, tells the fascinating story of Cantine Giacomo Montresor, its deep connection to the Verona area, and the tradition of appassimento, the heart of the production of Amarone, one of Valpolicella's most prestigious wines.
Through multimedia installations, period objects, and sensory experiences, you'll discover winemaking techniques, the origins of the vineyards, and the processes that transform grapes into fine wine. The museum is a place where past and present intertwine, offering a comprehensive look at our family's winemaking culture and identity.
At the end of the visit, you can enjoy "Valpolicella in a Glass," a guided tasting featuring five wines selected from our finest productions.
- Lugana DOC Satinato
- Valpolicella DOP Classico “Capitel della Crosara”
- Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso DOP Primo Ripasso “Castelliere delle Guaite”
- Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Satinato
- Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Riserva Satinato
Accompanied by a platter of typical local products, the wines showcase the diverse facets of the region: freshness, structure, and complexity, right up to the richness of Amarone, the symbol of Montresor's excellence. The tour is designed for enthusiasts and the curious, offering not only technical knowledge but also a sensory experience that engages sight, smell, and taste. An expert guide will accompany you every step of the way, revealing curiosities, anecdotes, and details that make our winery and its wines unique.
