ROOTS| Autumn journey in nature and culture
- R_PIANURA
- T_NOVEMBRE
A guided excursion to discover the Bosco della Varana “Remo e Luigi Forigo”, a place where nature, history, and traditions intertwine, narrating the connection between people and the territory.
The biotope, established thanks to the donation of land by the Forigo family, protects ancient mulberry trees and around 6,000 new plants and shrubs, including oaks, white hornbeams, hawthorns, and wild hazels. The landscape preserves the memory of the agricultural tradition of the Veronese plain, particularly the cultivation of mulberries, once linked to sericulture and silk production.
Accompanied by volunteers from WWF Veronese ODV, participants will be able to explore the forest, discover its biodiversity, and rediscover, through the landscape, ancient trades, family stories, and childhood memories. An experience that invites reflection on the relationship between nature, memory, and identity, rediscovering the stories and traditions that connect each person to their territory.
