Juliet’s courtyard and house: new access starting April 1, 2026

Starting from 1 April 2026, access to Juliet’s House will be through the Teatro Nuovo in Piazzetta Navona, while the exit will be located at Via Cappello 23. Before reaching the famous courtyard, visitors will pass through some of the historic areas of the Teatro Nuovo, where displays and interpretive materials dedicated to Romeo and Juliet introduce the story that has made Verona renowned around the world.

Visit Options

Two admission options are available:

1. Teatro Nuovo and Courtyard

• Includes access to the exhibition areas within the Teatro Nuovo and to Juliet’s Courtyard.
• Price: €5.00

2. Teatro Nuovo, Courtyard and Juliet’s House

• Includes the full visitor route, with access to both Juliet’s Courtyard and Juliet’s House.
• Price: €12.00

Advance booking required
Required Admission is available exclusively through online booking via the official ticketing platform. Visitors entitled to discounted or free admission, including VeronaCard holders, are also required to reserve their visit in advance.
Tickets cannot be purchased on site.

Free Admission

Free entry is available for:

• Children under 5 years of age
• Visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person
• Licensed tour guides accompanying a group
• Valid VeronaCard holders

Visitors may be asked to present documentation confirming their eligibility for free admission.

Opening Hours

• Monday: 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
• Tuesday to Sunday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm

Closed on 25 December and 1 January.

Last Admission Times

• Last booking slot: 6:30 pm
• Entry through Teatro Nuovo by 6:35 pm
• Entry to Juliet’s House by 6:40 pm
• Visits conclude by 7:00 pm

Accessibility

The visitor route is accessible to guests with mobility needs, although some limitations apply due to the historic nature of the site: the courtyard features uneven stone paving, which may make access more challenging for visitors with reduced mobility. Access to Juliet’s House is available only to certain areas of the building. Accessible restroom facilities are available inside the Teatro Nuovo.
