La Via dell'Iris

The “Via dell’Iris” traverses an unseen, fascinating territory in which the har­mony of the hilly landscape and the hamlets joins with forest, creek, and the smell of moss. The stone walls, patiently built, guide the traveller on tracks and paths until emerging in aerial views, surrounded by Iris flowers, in places almost suspended, admiring castles, majestic trees, cypress trees and silent districts.

Encounters with people do the rest: a glass of wine, bread and olive oil, a wild garlic sauce, a refreshing elderflower syrup, a cherry jam, accompany the words... because the journey is a discovery of places and communities, of traditions and “the good life.”
