The thematic itinerary recalls the agricultural traditions of the area, accessible both on foot and by bike, and winds through seldom-trafficked country lanes free from motor vehicles.
During the route, it is possible to admire architectural complexes of high historical and cultural value such as the Corte Grande – Villa Serego at Cucca with the Barchesse constructed by Andrea Palladio and the “Tezon,” one of the last “Tezoni” from the 16th century remaining in Veneto, where sheep were sheltered and destined for saltpeter production to make gunpowder.
An itinerary where you can discover historic courtyards and ancient granaries, but above all the star of this path: the “Verza Moretta,” a horticultural product characterized by a deep purple color on the outside and a white-yellow interior. It has been cultivated in the Verona area since the 19th century, generally planted in August and harvested in November.
