A beautiful itinerary between the municipalities of Roverè Veronese and Velo Veronese, discovering ancient hamlets and natural beauties.
The starting point of this itinerary is the square of San Francesco, a fraction of Roverè Veronese, where it is possible to leave the car.
Start from San Francesco towards Camposilvano. As soon as you exit the village, keep slightly to the left and take the road leading towards contrada Masetto. Continue along the road, and after 500 meters, on the right is one of the most photographed hamlets in the area, contrada Funfi.
Pass contrada Masetto and contrada Gaspari, and shortly after the latter, turn left onto the path. Continue towards malga Marian (3.75 km), reach Conca dei Parpari (via the secondary paved road connecting Conca dei Parpari to Rifugio Dosso Alto), continue for about 500 meters on SP6 towards San Giorgio, until reaching a fork on the right just before the Parparo Vecchio restaurant. Take the path and begin the descent.
After about 1.5 km, you can decide to continue left towards rifugio Lausen.
* LAUSEN VARIANT: you can reach the refuge following the signs and then return to this junction. The route extends by about 5 km round trip.
Continue downhill for about 700 meters and then decide whether to go through the Valle delle Sfingi or continue straight until you reach contrada Kunek, where the Geopaleontological Museum is located.
Continue for about 1.5 km to return to San Francesco.
