The Lessinia Film Festival Association is the organizing body of the Lessinia Film Festival, one of the most important events in Lessinia that takes place annually in Bosco Chiesanuova, in the province of Verona, during the last week of August. It is an international film competition dedicated to short films, documentaries, feature films, and animated films on the theme of life, history, and traditions in the mountains.
Founded in 1995, and since 1997, the Festival has been directed by Alessandro Anderloni. After being hosted for many years in Cerro Veronese, where it established itself as a festival of both national and international significance, the official venue of the Festival is now the Teatro Vittoria, and the entire square is used to ensure the success of the event: from the creation of a small "mountain library", to the Festival's osteria, a corner of the square where people can eat, drink in company, and enjoy live music performances that take place during the evenings.
The film program is accompanied by special events, retrospectives, international guests, exhibitions, meetings, debates, concerts, and other initiatives focusing on the theme of life, history, and traditions in the mountains.
The program is always available starting in August on the website www.ffdl.it.
