Azienda agricola Soripa

The winery, originally owned by the Sartori family, has a nearly century-long history. In the 1930s, the land of the estate had been used for vineyards, orchards, and livestock farming, but over time only the cultivation of olive trees and vineyards continued, starting wine production and focusing on product quality. It will be those very vineyards, passed down from generation to generation, that form the basis for the transformation of Corte Sottoriva into Sorípa in 2017.

Luca Sartori and Andrea Aldegheri, founders of Sorípa, decided to join forces with the ambitious project of enhancing the family vineyards and creating a label with a new name but values rooted in the past. They combined the lands of their respective families to showcase the great variety of the Marcellise valley.

The name SORÍPA comes from the union of the Latin So (under) and Ripa, like the steep slope of the hill on which the vineyards grow, recalling the name that this area originally had, Sottoripa.

The winery's commitment is focused on enhancing the countryside and its fruits, following the philosophy that “Every vineyard has its own characteristics and produces its own wine,” a philosophy that is then expressed through the bottles.
