The Bosco della Varana “Remo e Luigi Forigo” is a project born from the donation of land by the Forigo family. The biotope preserves centuries-old mulberries and hosts approximately 6,000 new plants and shrubs, including oaks, white hornbeams, hawthorns, and wild hazels.
A small phreatic pond contributes to the creation of a habitat favorable to biodiversity, intended to welcome insects, amphibians, and other forms of life. The area fits into the landscape of the Veronese plain and also evokes the historical tradition of mulberry cultivation, linked to sericulture.
The forest is set to grow over time, becoming an environmental resource for the territory and an opportunity to raise awareness on issues of biodiversity and sustainability.
