Cantina Marchi

Marchi represents an authentic expression of Valpolicella, shaped by three generations of winemakers from the family and a deep respect for time, the vines, and people.

The agricultural company was founded in 1945 by Gino Marchi and later developed by his son Franco, who expanded the estate to a surface area of 25 hectares of vineyard.

All the vineyards are located in hilly areas at high altitudes, over 400 meters above sea level, and are cultivated exclusively with indigenous Veronese varieties. This particular altitude and the territorial context contribute to bestow the wines with freshness, elegance, and a strong identity.

For decades, the family has been wholly dedicated to viticulture, guided by a belief handed down by Gino himself: "It's the vines that make the wine." For Marchi, great wines are born first and foremost in the vineyard, through patience, careful observation, and the balance of plants allowed to fully mature.

In the last 15 years, Franco's sons — Diego, Davide, and Luca — have transformed the agricultural company into a winery, realizing the long-held dream of grandfather Gino: to produce wines capable of fully expressing their land.

Time remains the guiding element of the winery. Time in the vineyard shapes the grape. Time in the cellar refines the identity. Time dedicated to people builds experience and lasting relationships. This philosophy is represented by the hourglass that forms the letter “M” of Marchi, a constant reminder that quality cannot be rushed.
