The church of San Zenone in Mozzo was built before the 15th century. Acquired along with the fief of San Zenone in Mozzo by the noble Miniscalchi family in 1441, it was expanded during the 18th century and subsequently completely rebuilt in its current neoclassical forms. Its consecration dates back to July 6, 1792.
The building presents a gabled façade facing west; the bell tower is attached to the eastern side of the church. The floor plan consists of a single rectangular hall, with a raised presbytery emerging two steps up and concluding with a semicircular apse. Along the sides of the hall, four semi-chapels house the altar of San Giovanni Battista and the altar of the Madonna del Rosario on the northern side, and the altar of Sant'Antonio and the altar of Sant'Ignazio on the opposite side. The internal façades are punctuated by Ionic pilasters on which the high entablature is set; the walls of the hall are adorned with paintings depicting scenes from the life of San Zeno. At the center of the apse wall is the painting depicting the patron saint.
The hall is covered by a barrel vault accented by transverse ribs and decorated with painted coffers, while the presbytery is topped by a dome divided into three sections by painted ribs. The roof is gabled with a supporting structure made of wooden trusses. The flooring of the nave is made of concrete tiles with a granulated mixture of polychrome marbles, while the apse area is paved with decorated concrete tiles.
