The parish of Roncà, dedicated to Santa Maria Annunziata, is located in a border area between the province of Verona and the diocese of Vicenza. Even in past centuries, the probable foundation of the community by populations of Germanic origin had the effect of keeping the area isolated from the jurisdiction of the Bishops at least until 1410, resulting in the absence of documents regarding the foundation, due to the difficulty of communication caused by language differences.
The current parish church, whose design was drafted by Father Angelo Gottardi, was initiated in 1876 and completed in 1892. The building underwent restoration between 1985 and 1992.
Inside the parish church, dedicated to Santa Maria Annunziata, we find the most precious altarpiece kept in the oratory. The 18th-century altarpiece depicts five saints: St. Charles Borromeo, St. Lucia, St. Agatha, St. Apollonia, and St. Eurosia. Also inside the church, we find the statue of the Madonna with a bird from the 15th century.
The facade of the church consists of two registers separated by a stringcourse and is crowned by a curvilinear tympanum. The interior has a single nave with four side chapels with rectangular plans, while the nave is closed by a semicircular apse, which houses the crucifix. The floor, redone at the end of the 20th century, is made of Sant'Ambrogio marble from Valpolicella; the post-conciliar altar facing the congregation features a bronze panel depicting the Resurrection. The ambo, on the other hand, is characterized by a representation of the Annunciation.
