The small rural church is located in Pozzo di Valgatara.
Once dedicated to Santo Stefano, the name has been changed with San Marco probably in tribute to the Serenissima of Venice. It dates back to the 13th century and despite the changes made in the following centuries, it still retains its original Romanesque appearance.
Beyond the rectangular entranceway in Lessinia stone, the church itself has a single nave with a beautiful 16th century chapel and 14th century frescoes on all the inside walls. On one of the inside walls there is a Roman epigraph with a vow to Jupiter.
