The current parish church dedicated to Saints Philip and James can be traced back to an early place of worship documented as early as 1437, while it assumed its current forms in 1720.
In 1480, the completion or decoration of the church involved Maestro Pero Daguaz, the local stonecutter Maestro Lorenzo from Erbezzo, and the more famous Maestro Donato da Lugo, as noted by an inscription carved inside.
