Charming Romanesque church, stands on a hill near the center of Isola della Scala, adjacent to the exhibition area. It was built in 1126 by Chiebizo, Wariento, and Annone, as stated by an inscription on the facade. Initially tripartite, it was remodeled in the 15th century with a transformation into a single hall and the opening of a beautiful stone portal and a central rose window. Inside, it features frescoes, altars, and a baptismal font from 1412. Always a destination of devotion, it is celebrated with the centennial Sagra della Bastia, the third Sunday of Lent.
