Cinema Teatro Alcione

The Alcione Cinema was established in 1972, in the Borgo Santa Croce district. The first film screened was "Brother Sun, Sister Moon".

From the very beginning, the Alcione Cinema has breathed with the surrounding Community, accompanying it through its evolutions. In 1989, it changed management for the first time, continuing to grow in quality and quantity of programming, hosting concerts, ballets, and theater, reaching an average of 20 screenings per week by 2018.

With the advent of Covid-19, the Alcione Cinema also had to halt its activities for two years, but in 2022 it returned to being an active part of the community, enriching its schedule with meetings, thoughts, emotions, and all the wonder that cinema can provide.
