Comaroto is a name that has its roots in the ancient profession of the Comare – the Midwife – which Ernesto Dal Forno's mother practiced at the beginning of the twentieth century, in Val d'Illasi. Since then, Comaroto has remained the emblem of Dal Forno Family, which has proudly made it its identity.
The production technique of Valpolicella and Amarone, today one of the most famous wines of the area, starts with the rigorous selection of grapes left to dry after being placed on racks, so substances, scents, and aromas can concentrate. The technique continues with the aging of the wine in wooden barrels and with fermentation. The technique concludes with bottling.
Dal Forno Bros. company was established in 2021 and a year later, in April 2022, Comaroto becomes the name for their Amarone and Valpolicella wines; a name that evokes the voice of grandparents as they remind their grandchildren how important it is to stay grounded "con i piedi per terra", reminding the origins.
