Cooperativa Agricola e Sociale Cascina Albaterra

The Agricultural and Social Cooperative Cascina Albaterra was established in 2016 from the shared dream of the Association Sulle Orme odv, the Multiforme Social Cooperative, and the Coffele winery, and is part of the PPL network – local small producers. Cascina has several active projects: a social agriculture project with a vegetable garden and a vineyard that produces two different natural wines: El Frissante and El Bianco, a project concerning the breeding of Alpine chamois goats and Brogna sheep. From this breeding, the dream of a dairy was born, which currently produces various types of goat cheeses: ricotta, fresh goat cheese, and caciotte.
The Cascina project also includes the breeding of hens for egg production.
The products of Cascina Albaterra are sold at the Fittà location, at the Locanda 5 pani e 2 pesci in Fittà, at the Coffele Wine Shop in Soave, and at the Albero dei Talenti, the social store of the Multiforme Cooperative.
Cascina is a place where every activity is shared with people coming from situations of marginalization or personal difficulties. Learning a trade, caring for the land and animals, dreaming of a project and trying to realize it become educational activities that help all of us to regenerate our lives; Cascina Albaterra is a solidarity project because it is a community where everyone finds a space.
Through agricultural work, breeding, and a circular economy, we propose a new ecological and labor culture that takes into account biodiversity, natural agricultural techniques, and environmental and work sustainability. Cascina Albaterra is a continuous challenge, where the culture of the non-profit meets the needs of a profit company, in an exchange of skills that generates new methods, new visions, and new possibilities for a more responsible and civil economy.
