In honor of Don Luigi Zocca and his dedication to the in-depth study of herbal knowledge, on the hill adjacent to the former rectory of Sprea (Verona), lies The Garden of Don Zocca, an herb garden and medicinal garden of about four thousand square meters.
Following a path of about 1 km in length, one goes from the "lower" part of the garden up to the cross that oversees Mount Castecche, in an area where over 300 different plants and medicinal herbs are cultivated. The site is exposed to the East, South, and West.
The construction of the garden involved terracing and building walkable paths for both machinery and visitor walking: it was indeed created for purely educational purposes and is equipped with representative and explanatory signs for all the plants present in the garden.
