Nature, art, history
The Giusti Garden was created during the second half of the 16thcentury and is still owned today by the same family. It represents one of the most important examples of the Renaissance Italian Garden.
The Garden is preserved in its antique style today and still features all the main elements of the sixteenth century garden, including: vases with citrus fruits, mythological statues, fountains, cedar trees, grottos, the belvedere-mask, Roman ruins and a space from which to admire the view of the landscape.
In addition to the Renaissance garden, it is also possible to visit the 16th-century Palazzo, which was recently reopened under the name 'Appartamento 900'. The Palazzo houses important art collections and tells seven centuries of the history of the familythat inhabited it.

VARIATIONS AND EXTRAORDINARY CLOSURES:
Monday, June 8, 2026: the Garden will be closed for the entire day.
From June 25 to June 27, 2026: the Palace will be closed to the public. The Garden will remain regularly open and a reduced entrance fee will be applied.
Opening times
The Garden is open every day (last entry one hour before closing):
- from June to August: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- in the months of April, May, and September: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- from October to March: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The Garden is closed on December 25.
FAQ
It has important collections of flowers, Roman artefacts and many important travellers over the centuries have passed through it, including the poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Tsar Alexander I of Russia and the Austrian musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The garden is on 3 levels; the second and third levels have stairs and differences in height, but the first level is wide and flat. The flats do not have a lift.
It is only possible to visit the lower part of the gardens. The flats are not accessible.
It is possible to enter the gardens and the flats with dogs on a leash. In the case of large dogs, free access is only permitted to the gardens.
