You will cycle through the hills of the Eastern Lessini Mountains, straddling the provinces of Verona and Vicenza, between the Val d’Alpone and the Val di Chiampo. 

The route starts in Vestenanova, a hilly village where the Parish Church of San Leonardo stands out, surrounded by lush forest vegetation dotted with centuries-old chestnuts and meadows.

The journey continues towards Roncà, cycling across the fertile hillside slopes of Monte Calvarina, an ancient extinct volcano. Here, a visit to the Paleontological Museum is recommended, which houses numerous fossils dating back about 40 million years.

Upon arriving at Montecchia di Crosara, a visit to the Romanesque church of San Salvatore is a must, located on a panoramic hill overlooking the village. 

You ascend towards San Giovanni Ilarione in a landscape characterized by vineyards, chestnut trees, and cherry trees. Here you will find the columnar basalts: a scenic rock wall formed by the cooling and contraction of lava flows.
