La Cappuccina

Founded over a century ago, in 1890, by the Tessari family, La Cappuccina is located in the heart of the Soave doc wine production area, in Costalunga di Monteforte d’Alpone, on the gentle hills to the east of the province of Verona.

Charm and mystery surround the name of the company, which derives from the evocative private chapel attached to Villa Buri-Tessari, dating back to the 17th century, where it is believed that the Capuchin friars once officiated. The chapel, stylized in the company logo, is an authentic gem of local architecture among the black volcanic rocks of the Val d'Alpone.

La Cappuccina estate today extends over more than 42 hectares of vineyards, divided into different company bodies: San Brizio and Monte Stelle in Costalunga of Monteforte d’Alpone, and Pergola in Montecchia di Crosara, in the province of Verona.

Since 1985, in a completely pioneering manner for the area, the winery has chosen to apply certified organic farming methods for all phases of production, from vineyard cultivation to wine bottling. To this day, the results of this choice have rewarded the company, ranking it among the most qualified organic wine companies in Italy.
