La Via dei Fossili

The area "Boccascalucce" is a hilly region characterized by an interesting geomorphological mosaic of limestone and volcanic rocks, famous for its hiking and panoramic trails.

In this terrain, it is common to find interesting fossil remains. The route also passes through the area of the Church of Saints Fermo and Rustico, where it is possible to admire the view from the "Belvedere" and descend the wonderful Zandomeneghi Staircase.

In the Square of the Church, before the Napoleonic era, there was a cemetery that has recently resurfaced as a result of work to renovate the Square.
