Itinerary suitable for appreciating the Borgo del Monte, with its Villas and the Church of SS. Fermo and Rustico.
Villa Spinola, Villa Portalupi, and Villa Peverelli Cavalli take us back in time to when Colognola, a fief of the Scaligeri, was becoming a center that began to instill fear in the Veronese nobility. It is said that in place of the Church there was once an imposing castle, razed to the ground by the Scaligeri.
To ascend and descend to the Borgo del Monte, one alternates between the paths of "Rimembranza" (where the trees lining it were dedicated to the fallen of the Great War) or "Paradiso," by which one reaches Villa (or Piano), the locality where the Municipality is located and where there are equally unmissable villas.
Within one of these, specifically in the courtyard area of Villa Aquadevita, the famous "Sagra dei Bisi" is held every year on the last two weekends of May.
