Mezzavilla-Pian di Castagnè

Naturalistic itinerary in the hilly territory of San Martino Buon Albergo.

Just outside the inhabited center of Marcellise, heading North on the S.P., we find Mauro Street on the left with the G.T.O. signs; in a widening here in front, it is possible to leave the car. Climb the slope to the summit; completely traverse Via Montalto always following the signs until Pian di Castagnè; take Via Monte Mezzane and while descending keep the path to the left (we highly recommend downloading the GPX track). Upon reaching Casale di Tavola, continue the path on the right to reach Corte Scaletta, then Via Cao di Sopra and, turning right, we return to the Provincial Road. We briefly travel along the Provincial Road heading South, to return to the starting point.
