Passing Selva di Progno, you will come to the village of Giazza, where it is possible to access the important Ethnographic Museum dedicated to the so called Cimbro population and to the centre of documentation that, thanks to financial support from the European Community, organizes annual demonstrations and courses for those wishing to learn the Cimbro language.
This, in fact, is the area which is closest to the way of speaking, to the traditions and to the culture of the Bavarian-Tyrolese population today. This population settled in these mountains at the end of the XII and XIV century.
The museum holds exhibits of typical objects of Cimbri art and crafts. Traces can also be seen within the hamlets, scattered along the higher plains of Lessinia.
