The Museum of Arcole and the Napoleonic Battle "Gustavo Alberto Antonelli" was created from the core of the collection and the initiative of the founder, after whom it is named. It has been set up in the chapel dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua.
The Museum houses a rich collection of paintings, prints, engravings on copper and steel, lithographs and aquatints, posters and proclamations, bulletins of the Grand Army and documents of the period. It also contains the documents of the obelisk commissioned by Napoleon himself in memory of the battle of Arcole.
The museum itinerary begins with the Roman era, with finds primarily from the excavations of Santa Maria dell’Alzana, passing through the medieval and Venetian periods, featuring some important documents, such as a precious and rare book by Giovanni d'Arcole, up to the Napoleonic era, with the famous battle, the obelisk, and the fortress of Arcole.
