The Museum contains a rich collection of paintings, prints, copper and steel engravings, lithographs and aquatints, posters and proclamations, bulletins of the Grand Army and documents of the time. It is still a destination for school groups and modern history enthusiasts. In fact, it is also a documentary collection point for another very important monument, the obelisk wanted by Napoleon himself in memory of the battle of Arcole. The museum, the collection and the activities surrounding it, since its foundation in 1984, have been recognized in the territory as works of supra-municipal interest and have largely contributed to the diffusion of the culture of history and its places. The extension, built with a prefabricated wooden structure, was completed with the placement of noticeboards, shelves and illustrative panels. It consists of a vast room inside which there is a historical itinerary of Arcole, which starts from the Roman age, with finds coming mainly from the excavations of Santa Maria dell'Alzana, passing through the medieval and Venetian ages, with the exhibition of some important documents, such as a precious and rare book by Giovanni d'Arcole, up to the Napoleonic era, with the famous battle, the obelisk, the fortress of Arcole. The museum is an extraordinary resource for Arcole, known worldwide for the historic Napoleonic battle and investing in its history means investing in the territory and in ourselves.
