The Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta was built after the devastating collapse in 1878 of the ancient bell tower on the previous pleban church, which was severely damaged. The current building was inaugurated in 1922.
The Romanesque style can be seen from the external facade; the interior features three naves with a barrel vault ceiling supported by piers alternating with columns. The vaults are completely decorated with figures of patriarchs, prophets, evangelists, and doctors of the Church.
From the ancient parish, only the porch now placed on the facade of the Church of Discipline and the octagonal red marble baptismal font built in 1438 by the archpriest Jacopo Rubeo remain.
