For this hike, you reach the village of Giazza by car, in the Verona area, and drive up to the Revolto refuge, parking at 1336 meters above sea level.
From here, you climb several staircases through the woods along trail CAI no. 186, or alternatively via the wide dirt mule track, until you reach the Passo Pertica refuge, located at the same-named pass at 1573 meters. You then continue on a comfortable mule track, trail no. 109, which, without ever having steep slopes, leads to the Scalorbi refuge at 1776 meters. From the refuge, there are two trails, no. 109 or no. 192, that lead to Bocchetta Mosca, at an altitude of 2029 meters above sea level.
This last stretch of trail becomes steeper but never reaches high slopes. As you ascend, the vegetation thins out until it completely disappears beyond 2000 meters.
From Bocchetta Mosca, it is only a short distance, and you quickly reach first the Mario Fraccaroli refuge, at 2238 meters above sea level, and then the summit cross located at the top of Mount Carega at 2259 meters.
For the return, you proceed along the same route taken on the way up.
