Departure from the Malga San Giorgio parking lot: follow the mule track "Strada dei Cordoni" towards Bocca Gaibana, where you can observe trenches and other remnants of World War I. Here, besides the war relics, in the early hours of the morning, if you're lucky, you might encounter numerous chamois grazing undisturbed. Continue along the route circling Monte Castelletto, reach Castel Gaibana (1806m above sea level) and finally begin the descent towards the Boca del Valon (1767m above sea level). Reach Malga Malera, where you can enjoy a typical lunch featuring mountain gnocchi. After lunch, follow the simple beaten path that directly connects back to the starting parking lot.
