This restaurant is located in a special place, the district of "Cà del Diaolo."

There are a thousand versions of the origin of this name, which dates back to the depths of the Middle Ages. The fact is that its particular strategic position at the crossroads of two valleys made it a mandatory stop for teamsters and merchants, a place of business, of "goti," of squabbles, vendettas, and curses... From this tumult of life, which was almost daily, tradition attributes the origin of this name, and thus it is told... It seems that on a day of particular euphoria, some enthusiastic patrons of the ancient tavern were playing in the nearby bowling green, which then existed, when a trivial argument related to some irregularities in the game erupted into a heated discussion filled with the worst kind of malice. Such episodes were frequent, but that day it is said that just at that moment, the funeral procession of a child was passing by, and since the persistent players showed no respect for that poor lifeless body, the old priest, indignant, cursed that place and decreed that it would forever be called "Ca' del Diaolo," meaning house of the devil.

This is the story that is told regarding the origins of the name of this locality, which has always aroused great curiosity, hence the name of the street and subsequently also the name of the Restaurant managed by the Marana family for four generations!
