Sentiero del Vajo di Mezzane

From the locality of Sul Vago, at the end of the vajo di Mezzane and where the road from Mezzane di Sotto terminates, follow the path that delves into the vajo di Mezzane. After about 200 meters, leave the path on the right that ascends to loc. Maternigo and follow the left path that continues along the valley, high and slightly away from the bottom of the vajo. Further ahead, at the confluence of a side vajo, the path crosses a wooden log bridge and heads towards the bottom of the vajo, which it reaches at an altitude of about 220 meters. Ascend for a short stretch along the bottom of the vajo, and after about 200 meters, when the walls of the vajo narrow, take the left trail that long ascends through the dense forest on the right orographic side. The trail ascends but has some traverses and a few short descents. Along the path, you will also encounter two distinct deviations on the right that both lead quickly to the bottom of the vajo. Immediately after the second deviation, a steep stretch of the path ascends finally leading to the junction with the Dorsale 5 Valli route, just downstream of contrada Castello.
