Originally built as a palace-fortress for the Dal Verme family, in 1437 the property was acquired by the Allegri family, who almost two centuries later (1656) commissioned architect Giovanni Battista Bianchi to design the expansion and renovation of the ancient mansion.
For the decoration of the new rooms and the imposing halls, Ludovico Dorigny, Santo Prunati, and Fra’ Giuseppe Falezza were involved.
The last descendant of the Allegri family sold the Villa to the Arvedi family, silk producers, in 1824.
The Arvedi family abandoned the project to convert the noble mansion into a silk factory and maintained its agricultural vocation, producing grapes and oil, which continues to this day.
Today Villa Arvedi remains family-owned and has been made available for public enjoyment, offering guided tours (by reservation), locations for private parties, weddings, corporate events, and more.
Villa Arvedi has been the film set for the movie “Letters to Juliet” and the reality talent show “America's Next Top Model.”
The villa features spacious halls and more intimate rooms, a veranda, and an extraordinary Italian garden that tells a centuries-old story, evokes emotions, and provides an exclusive backdrop for shoots and memorable photos.
Villa Arvedi is always offered for exclusive use, without overlapping events, and with the possibility of service customization: it can be the unforgettable place for your special corporate or private occasions.
