Built around the mid-Eighteenth Century, it stands in the center of the capital, located halfway between Verona and Mantua, and just one kilometer east of the ancient route of the Roman consular road "Postumia". This glorious Roman roadway was eventually replaced by the current "Mantuan Road", the main communication route between the south and north of the Po Valley after engineering works promoted by the Duchy of Mantua in the Fifteenth Century led to the formation of the lakes that currently surround the Lombard city and the definitive abandonment of the ancient Roman road.
The real estate complex consisting of the three-story manor house with the wings extending towards the area of the orchard has been restored through a renovation project. The various changes of ownership, which mainly occurred in the early years of the Twentieth Century, had led the Villa towards decline and a degradation that seemed total and definitive to many; degradation overcome by the providential and very recent architectural and artistic restoration.
The villa currently hosts weddings, conferences, congresses, and other events; however, it is not open to visitors.
