The Church of Saints Salvatore and Biagio is the first historically documented church in the Municipality of Vestenanova (1145, controversy between the canons of Badia Calvena and the Prior of S. Mauro in Saline). Its foundation dates back to the 10th or 11th century. It was reconstructed in the 15th century and elevated to a rectory in 1529. It was subsequently demolished and rebuilt between 1626 and 1640. It was then again demolished between 1855 and 1856 and rebuilt in its current form as it was insufficient to accommodate the faithful.
Internally, it has a single rectangular nave with a longitudinal major axis. The presbytery is square in shape, raised by five steps and narrower than the nave, and is concluded, beyond the transenna of the main altar, by a prominent semicircular apse. Along the sides of the nave, close to the presbytery, two semic chapels open, with structures emerging from the outside, one on each side, housing respectively the altar of the Madonna on the left and the altar of the Sacred Heart (or of Saint Biagio) on the right, placed on a raised base of one step.
Near the entrance, on both walls of the enclosure, there are two niches carved into the wall thickness. The sacristy, located in a building that connects the presbyteral volume to the bell tower, is situated on the right side of the presbytery in direct communication with the apse, and is accessible from the nave through an intermediary space.
The main entrance opens centrally in the facade, reachable from the front courtyard by ascending an eight-step staircase; inside there is a wooden vestibule. A lateral entrance opens at the center of the left side of the nave. On the opposite side, an opening allows the connection with the weekday chapel, which develops along the side of the nave while maintaining the same main axis as the church.
Adjacent to it is the canonical house, with its front set back from the church facade, and with a plan development orthogonal to it.
The facade is in neoclassical style with a rectangular entrance portal, embellished with a small pediment and topped by a semicircular window. It is framed by two pairs of pilasters with Corinthian order capitals. These support the architrave on which the pediment decorated with a saw-tooth frame is placed. In the center of the tympanum is a slightly molded hexagonal oculus; at the lateral peaks are two small statues depicting the patron saints and at the top vertex is affixed an elaborate stone cross.
