The history of Finetti, a mountain district located east of the town of Tregnago, is linked to the plague of 1630, during which the district was completely destroyed by the epidemic. The first to take up stable residence in the district was a certain Finetto. After a few generations, in 1718, the local families obtained permission from the bishop of Verona to build a small church dedicated to the Virgin, dependent on the parish church of Tregnago. In 1836, the building was enlarged to its current forms.
The building features a neoclassical façade; above the entrance portal, within a lunette, a painting depicts a character strolling through the district, with the church in the background, while in the tympanum, inside a shell-shaped oculus, the symbol of the Society of Mary is inserted.
The floor plan is a single rectangular hall, with a quadrangular raised presbytery concluded by a flat-ended apse; along the lateral sides of the hall, four semi-chapels open up, of which those close to the presbytery house the altar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on the left, and the altar of St. Stanislaus Kostka on the opposite side. The interior of the church is simple and linear, lacking prominent molded elements.
