The Church was built between the 14th and 15th centuries as a chapel subject to the parish of S. Briccio in Lavagno. Established as a Parish before 1460, it was rebuilt in the current neoclassical style between 1819 and 1827 based on a design by the Veronese architect Giuseppe Barbieri. Traces of the ancient Romanesque church remain only in the sacristy.
The building features a neoclassical façade facing north, preceded by a monumental portico. The floor plan is a single rectangular hall with semi-side chapels, while the presbytery is quadrangular in shape and concludes with a semicircular apse. The nave is covered by a wide decorated barrel vault, while the presbytery is topped by a hemispherical dome adorned with a coffered design. The internal façades are marked by robust pilasters on which rests the molded frame found along the entire internal perimeter; the walls, plastered and painted, are decorated with frames and ornamental motifs in tempera. The flooring is made of slabs of red Verona marble and white limestone; the floor of the presbytery is characterized by a geometric design in polychrome marbles.
The bell tower is located on the southern side of the church.
The church houses several works of art, such as the canvases by Morone "The Prophets Daniel and Isaiah" and "Saints Benedict and John the Evangelist," as well as canvases by Girolamo Dai Libri "Saints Catherine and Dorothy" and "The Nativity".
