Small church dedicated to the Doctor of the Church in the interpretation of the Holy Scripture, Saint Jerome. We know that two centuries ago it was owned by the brothers Antonio and Francesco Pagan, counts of Venice.
In 1972 it was purchased by the Veronese priest Giovanni Moschini, who obtained from the Bishop of Verona the permission to celebrate the Holy Mass on Sundays. Domenico Moschini, who succeeded his brother, ceded the estate and the church to Giovanni Bertani of Verona in 1834, who rebuilt it larger and more beautiful in 1838. Giovanni Bertani continued to have the Sunday Mass celebrated, establishing a legacy for this purpose.
The new church is simple and devout, built in a neoclassical style. The main altar, in Baroque style, was built in 1735, probably through the generosity of D. Domenico Farinati of Alcenago.
Girardi Sante, the owner of the church since 1921, had the building restored and decorated by Adolfo Mattielli of Soave in 1924. The work of Mattielli also includes the Christ ascending to heaven painted in the apse and the highly valued canvas of the Holy Family placed above the main door.
